concept with the school and reverse harem is good, but. For an erotica story I'd give it 4 stars, for romance it gets 3, and just general Fantasy I'd give it 2.5 stars. They confront the main bad girl and we just hear about it in passing. Havenfall is an escape from reality, where her mother sits on death row accused of murdering Maddies brother. Lastly, a key scene is missing all together. The main character accepts a mate bond with a male but then two chapters later she is debating with herself about whether it's too early to say I love you 🙄. Once again, the mystery part of this book takes a back seat to the main character talking/thinking about being in a relationship with two men. then they all turn to look at cameras to find out what happened. For example, some kids are missing and literally in the midst of finding out what hapoened. I liked those love scenes, just not the placement.

The story is interrupted by some oddly placed love scenes. After covering that debacle it seems moot to say the story was lacking some urgency and consistency.

WTH? I figured maybe it was a bad attempt at a cliffhanger but then I find out that this is the last book 🤦🏽‍♀️ Did the author die? Go to jail? Lose her mind? Or was her publisher irritating her and she just said, 'Here! Just take it now!' 🤣 If none of those things are true then she just forgot to actually finish the story. I obviously got the unfinished version because I got NO ending. Maddie loves spending summers at Havenfall, a Colorado inn where her uncle brokers peace between worlds, until a murder forces her to take on. Well I really hope that you get the version of this book that those reviewers got. I know you're seeing all the 5-star reviews and preparing yourself to be amazed. Loved this! I hope more authors go this route instead having the POV determine who is narrating everyone's voice. They just did their voices based on who was talking or thinking.
